OUR STORY

2004

The vision for Land & Development Australia is conceived. What follows next is two years of research, development and strategic growth in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China.

2005-2006

APAI: Australasian Property & Asset Investments (now Land & Development Australia) is incorporated in Hong Kong to serve as the ASIAN office for the purpose of raising capital for Australian property developers, and to supply Australian residential off-plan apartments and commercial office grade assets to the Asian markets, with a specific focus on the Mainland Chinese investor market, including: private UHNW clients, institutional investors, family offices, REITS, and property focused Funds.

2007

Strategic partnerships are forged throughout Asia with leading capital and property institutions, including: JP Morgan Chase, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, UBS, CBRE, Jones Lang LaSalle, Colliers International, Centaline Property Agency, Midland Holdings, and Propnex Realty.

2008

APAI: Australasian Property & Asset Investments (now Land & Development Australia) is incorporated in Australia, and strategic partnerships are forged with 100+ public and private, residential, commercial, and mixed-use Australian property developers. The company assists 70+ developers and places 200+ off-plan projects in the Asian markets during the peak of the global financial crisis. Additionally, the company introduces Australian property developers to Asian capital providers at a critical time when domestic banks in Australia are perpetually tightening their lending parameters or ceasing to lend due to the global financial crisis.

2009 - 2012

The company continues to forge partnerships in both ASIA and Australia with property developers, capital providers, and investors. By the close of 2012, working partnerships with 200+ Australian property developers has been established, resulting in the significant creation of cross-border capital and development opportunities.

2013 - 2014

With the Chinese government beginning to further tighten the out-flow of capital and foreign investment in both the private and institutional markets, international appetite in Australian property becomes less robust than previous years. The company mobilises to create a domestic network of accountants, financial advisors, and real estate agents, numbering in excess of 3,000 individuals nationally to assist its Australian property developer clients gain additional investor traction within the domestic market.

2015 - 2021

The company focuses on its core business offerings, including: domestic and Asian off-plan & established property sales & divestments, identifying and transacting development sites & distressed assets, structuring capital and joint venture partnerships, and continuing to expand its Australian & Asian client base.

2022 - 2023

With continued domestic expansion in its sights to compliment its established international channels, the company rebrands from APAI Pty Ltd (Australasian Property & Asset Investments) to Land & Development Australia Pty Ltd. This rebrand also results in a restructure to absorb additional equity partners throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, and South Australia. Moving forward, the company's focus is on expanding nationally as a full-service, property investment and advisory firm specialising in finance, investment, development, transactions and advice, while servicing its domestic and international client base.
